Pulled Pork Sliders

This super simple recipe for the slow cooker uses only four ingredients! Skinny Louisiana’s Shelly Marie Redmond considers this an easy and delicious family-pleasing recipe.

We love using the Slow Cooker (or crock-pot as some call it) in our kitchen. Not only is the slow cooker easy to use, but it is also safe (no open flame), and energy-efficient. Slow cookers consume as little as 150 watts per hour at a low setting and cut electricity cost for cooking by half. (and yes, I love to save money). Slow cookers range in tons of shapes and sizes, but my slow cooker is 6-quart Crock-Pot®.

Please note friends, we realize some of these items may be unavailable; I encourage you to select the items with the lowest amount of sugar. Still prepare this recipe if you can’t find Dr. Zevia – a simple diet soda is fine.

Ingredients:

  • One 1-2lb pork loin
  • 1 12 oz can diet Dr. Zevia (made with Stevia)*
  • 1 18 oz bottle of G Hughes Sugar-Free BBQ Sauce or Primal Kitchen BBQ Sauce*
  • Smart Buns *

Directions:

  • Combine the first three ingredients in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6/8 hours.
  • Serve with Smart Buns

*If you cannot find the specific items, look for the items with the lowest amount of sugar and carbs. 

Yield: 8 servings.

Nutrition Facts per Serving (with Smart Bun):

Calories: 200. Total fat: 7g. Saturated fat: 1.5g. Cholesterol: 85mg. Sodium: 660mg. Total carbohydrate: 16g. Fiber: 12g. Sugar: 0g. Protein: 29g.

NET CARBS: 4g. 

Carb count excludes sugar alcohols. The net carb count is determined with the equation total carbohydrate – total fiber – sugar alcohol.
