Underground power grid upgrades begin in Haughton’s Dogwood Park

Construction has begun in Haughton’s Dogwood Park to replace more than 24,000 feet of underground electric cable that is at the end of its useful life. This $1.5 million investment will improve the safety and reliability of service for customers.

Celebrating the Power of the Purse

Recently, SWEPCO employees delivered over 50 purses to the Shreveport-Bossier Salvation Army Corps for their annual purse auction, Purses for a Purpose. Happening this Saturday, August 25, 2018, the event raises funds for the Corps programs, which serve those in need of after-school care, veteran’s assistance and groceries for families. Event attendees are treated to a delicious lunch and have the opportunity to purchase or bid on purses, ranging from unique oddities to designer Louis Vuitton handbags.

Lockesburg Industrial Technology Institute receives grant for PLC Trainers
