SWEPCO got word that 65 seventh-grade American History students at Magnolia School of Excellence 6-12 Campus in Shreveport wrote thank you letters to SWEPCO employees assisting in Hurricane Harvey restoration in Texas.

We had to come say hello! The students shared their original drawings and thoughts on our employees bringing power back to lives, staying strong while missing your families, and being safe (electricity and water don’t mix so wear your rubber boots!)

“I wanted the students to think about first responders in a hurricane, and since I’ve always appreciated SWEPCO here, I encouraged them to write letters to the local power company helping others in need,” said Brett Bouillion, history teacher at Magnolia School.
